I think the difference is that one uses a faster vactrol for the LPG circuit which means that it responds the envelopes quicker.           Analog/Digital Synth Modules www.toppobrillo.com

From the Malekko site:

The Borg I (white knobs) has a slower response and a more mellow sound compared to the Borg II (black knobs). Thanks to its longer decay time, the Borg I is best for recreating the famous Buchla bongo patch, and the Borg II is best for a faster, more aggressive response.           Analog/Digital Synth Modules www.toppobrillo.com

Way too many to count and really hard to keep track of, hehe.

My favorites are the Tiptop Z2040, Toppobrillo Multifilter (My opinion is biased for this one though), The Harvestman Polivoks, and the Borgs. I'm really looking forward to the Synthesis Technology E440.           Analog/Digital Synth Modules www.toppobrillo.com

yeah no probs will do, unprocessed as well but will have to wait on my expert sleepers coming

i picked the borg two for a couple of reasons
after listening to a shit load of demos i settled on this and that it would match the DPO which it does beautifully
and it was cheap(second hand for almost half price)
you can also use it as a compressor apparently....??????? will have to wait for maths

heres the demo that did it for me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgC1X_WpgPY

INPUTS/OUTPUTS
Pitch CV In: 1 V/Oct standard, typically 0 to +5 volts (+15 volts max)
Pitch CV Out: 1 V/Oct standard, 0 to +5 volts
Mod Wheel Out: 0 to +10 volts
Velocity Out: 0 to +10 volts
LFO Out: -5 to +5 volts
Oscillator Modulation In: typically -10 to +10 volts (+/-15 volts max)
Waveform A: -5 to +5 volts
Waveform B: -5 to +5 volts
Waveform C: 0 to +15 volts (for sub oscillator waves), -5 to +5 volts (for ring modulator and white noise)
Audio In: accepts line-level audio signals
Filter Modulation In: typically -10 to +10 volts (+/-15 volts max)
Velocity In: typically 0 to +10 volts (+/-15 volts max)
Gate In: gate-on equals +1.5 volts or higher, gate-off equals 0 volts
Gate Out: 0 to +14 volts
Envelope 1 Out +/-: 0 to +10 volts
Filter Out/Amp In Range: -15 to +15 volts max
Main Out Range: 11 volts peak/peak max

Be careful with any of the outputs that are 10V - 14V. Attenuate them going into your Euro depending on the destination. Check the manuals for the devices you are going into for their working ranges.           Analog/Digital Synth Modules www.toppobrillo.com

The issues you could run into with bipolar signals would be if it swings -5V to +5V and you are sending that into a input that takes 0V to 5V, things get messy. Digital circuits don't like negative voltages. In this case you would need to offset the voltage up by +5V so it would swing in the 0V to 10V range and then attenuate it down so you get 0V to +5V.
