Zita Zie
Started in classical music at age 7 playing violin, but never in her dreams she thought that one day she would be a DJ. It all started when Zita's friends invited her to attend the Winter Music Conference in Miami. That's where she met DJ D:Folt and encouraged her to get into the electronic music scene. Learned her basics on vinyl at Music Industry Workshop from Brian Boncher then continued spinning on CDJs next. A try turned into a passion and the rest is history. Major musical influences are Armin Van Buuren, Blank and Jones, however minimal plays an important part in her style. Other influences are coming from Burning Man's Opulent Temple DJ group.
Zita's recent performances included Crobar Chicago, Vision, Climax, Spybar, Ontourage, Sound Bar, UN, Good Bar, Victor Hotel, Enclave, and currently holds residencies at Sound Bar Chicago through Dance Factory Radio FM and at Leg Room.

Born and raised in Hungary. Moved to the USA when she was 14. In Hungary she attended a music specialty elementary school where music theory, choir, recorder plus an additional instrument was a requirement on a daily bases. Her classical training was later focused only on violin once she attended high school. Local string quartets, symphonies, theater, Chamber Music International Music Festival in Prague, North brook Symphony Orchestra were just some of the activities she was doing.
To her parents encouragement, when she was not attending music rehearsals or lessons, she attended North Park University then later University of Illinois at Chicago to have a back up to the music profession.
Being a huge fan of dance music, it was only matter of time to try the other (non-classical) side of music. She often says, that whoever thinks that working the turntables is easy, first try it. It takes just as much amount of practice to do a good set, as to be able to perform a good Bach Sonata. And then Bach didn't even have to worry about making people dance.
His name is synonymous with Chicago drum n bass and one of Americas largest drum n bass music groups the M.I.A. (murda In america) with over 50+ members all over the country. Since the early 90's Alfonz has been djing and promoting jungle/drum n bass music. He has played along side the worlds best drum n bass djs including Andy C, Ed Rush & Optical, Black Sun Empire, Concord Dawn, DJ Swamp, Aphrodite, Bad Company, Krs One, Evol Intent, Gein, Ewun. He has headlined all over the country and has played marquee nights such as Respect in Los Angeles and the original Konkrete Jungle at the pyramid in New York City. In Chicago you can find him once a month at subfix Thursdays at Smartbarchicago.com where he hosts his monthly M.I.A. drum n bass event featuring Chicago's brightest drum n bass artist on a truly sick Funktion one sound rig. With numerous productions under his belt, a very busy dj schedule and a new mix released every 2-3 months alfonz has gained a nice following anywhere the internet is available. His drum n bass mixes are on rotation in several over seas radio stations most recently in New Zealand on loco fm 107fm, his events in Chicago exceed what any one thought a full on drum n bass rager could be like, the energy is high just like the temperature in room, care of the bass heads that are packed on the dance floor moving to the 99.9% drum n bass music pumping out of the speakers. His night at Smart Bar is the Longest running drum n bass night in Chicago with over 200 dedicated attendees every month that come to Smart bar (voted Chicago's best club several times) and expect to hear Alfonz De La Mota and the M.I.A. crew's big bass lines melt their faces. Baron's sound reflects the rebellion and soul of Jungle Music, and it's people. For nearly a decade, he has proven himself to be a very controversial but well-respected member of the rave community. On any given weekend, Baron can be found mixing, cutting and scratching it up at raves and clubs all over the Midwest.
