would make my life much easier... things i need to repeat and are ardous to do over and over.

is there such a thing?

For sure!

In the key commands window there is a button marked Macros which (if my memory serves) opens up another section where you can define macros. Then you can assign keyboard shortcuts to them in the upper pane.
