MAC users with logic 7 pro, i need a answer

Well, I thought that you can just make your VB1 stuff on the 5.5 and import it to the 7. It's not the best way to make music.
Here is another idea: get a vst instrument host, there are a lot of them, some free, and put the VB1 in that host. In logic you can write the midi and transmit it to the vst host. It's like using external gear.
Anyway fxpansion already announced that the vst to au is working with Logic 7. |

Hayez, there simply isn't a vb-1 for osX (not yet), so therefore fxpansion is not gonna work,...

There is however a vb-01 for os9, so if you have a G4 or less, u can use Logic 6.4.3 on os9...
If u have a G5, os9 won't run...
It must be possible 2 get a copy of Logic 6.4.3 from Emagic/Apple...and os9 must be around if u bought a G4...so, that's the final solution untill they made an osX version of vb-1...

Hey darkpsy, try this, although it will take some work! If you have LAP7, you will have an audio inst called Sculpture. It's a physical modelling synth like VB1, only a hell of a lot more extreme. You could probably program something that sounds like the VB1 in that if you are really serious about getting the VB1 sound.
Psyx - VB1 has been available for OSX the entire time that Cubase SX has been.

I got fxpansion, so please send me a link where i can download an osX version (vst/AU)...or maybe it's only supplied with the osX version of Cubase...

well the vb1 i have for mac .. is fore MAC OS X .. is the steinberg plugin .. i will send a email to apple .. since emagic is no longer the owner from logic .. and asking them if there is any possibility of this might work .. or if they can do something about .. let see . dammmmmmmmmmmm , im going to chek your link praecox .. thk in advance for all of your help's

Sonikmatter is an excellent logic forum. I was wondering if that was you on it, Praecox. 
Psyx - VB1 is in the SX application package with the rest of the cubase plugins. But you cannot convert it with the FXpansion wrapper.

the fxpansion wrapper can't convert the vb1 osx vst? why - can anyone confrim and explain?
what's changed in that vst?

Nothing has changed, per se, but it has never worked. I have tried this numerous times, also the killer multiband distortion plugin in SX falls into the same box. You could email the guys fro fxpansion and ask, they seem pretty reasonable, but I thin it's because it returns unsup[ported output. Also the same reason the au validator in logic will fail. Like in the case of the fish filllets dynhamics processors (for my money, some of the best around), they fail in LAp7, but work sweet in LAP6. Craziness. I think I should quyit drinking and got to bed now. Halo 2 and beer == best combio in the world.

So in other words...the vb-1 is intregated, as the Logic plugs (es1/2,exs.etc.....)?
So therefore NO vst ?!?!
On osX-audio forum & Sonikmatter ther were some threads on this Q...what i heard is that they are busy 2 develope an osX version...
I got 7 in the closet, untill the bug-reports are over...using 6.4.3 now, and it's working sweetly... |

I don't know who would want to use the vb-1 in the first place  but lets hope it all gets worked out in the end.
ps: whoever knows someone who sells a dual 1.8 g5 drop me a msg !
