Ok.. I had to do a totally new install of xp to set up the ultranova because i didnt have sp 3 installed.. so make sure you want to do (in case you havent done that yet) that before you buy it. After a 3 day nightmare of installing stuff again and loosing alot of presets of the virus TI, I finally had it all working.

It seems to have quite a few nice options and sounds. But I am not sure yet if I really like it. After 30 minutes of playing with it, it seems to work a lot less easy as the virus TI. I ll report more later when I had some more time with the ultranova.

But for now i'd say: if you have enough cash go for the snow or the TI. That just works so much easier because it also transmits the audio through the usb cable..           soundcloud.com/supergroover

Ok.. had some more time to play with it. Still not loads though. But enough to tell a bit more.

I don't think it comes close to the Virus TI or the snow. Sure they are more expensive but also give you a better synth. The UN has some onboard effects for example. But they don't have alot of parameters. They could use a bit more depth.
Some parameters you can see in different places. But you can only change them in the original place. This is pretty annoying sometimes. Also they need a click through system, so you can scroll through different waveforms for example in stead of having to click 2 times and move your mouse for each new waveform that you want to hear..

So far: nice synth but not 'killler'
Better save up for the virus.           soundcloud.com/supergroover

Get Blofeld desktop with BCR 2000. Best deal and really professional sound. In the digital domain. Or go for Tetra with BCR2000, in the analog domain
