I've read a lot here about the problems with firewire sound cards and 4-pin or 6-pin connectors. So far i've been using my m-audio firewire audiophile with my laptop's 4-pin connector. Having loads of stability issues due to the connector. Losing connectivity each time you touch the cable etc. Now, the question is what PCMCIA would you actually recommend to get in order to connect the more stable 6-pin cable to my laptop (Toshiba Satellite A100). I also know there are plenty of issues regarding PCMCIA compatibility with the card, so i hope you guys recommend something 100% working. A FW400 card with a TI chipset should work fine, problem is that it can be hard to find one where you know for sure what chipset it has.
I managed to find a FW800 card with TI chipset on ebay, and although I've seen many people recommend to not use FW800 cards it worked fine with my Ozonic.

Quick search on ebay I found one that states that they have a TI chipset:

Not all Adaptec AFW-1430 has TI chipset though.           (``·.¸(``·.¸(``·.¸¸.·`´)¸.·`´)¸.·`´)
