Hello.
I'm thinking about buying a sound card for playing live with laptop and Ableton. I'm thinking about this to cards: M-Audio FastTrack USB and ESI Maya 44 usb. For you who know this cards please tell me which is better?

p.s: I know that all the RME Fireface 400 are good..etc. bit i'm looking for something cheeper.

They're both pretty bad, but if those are your only choices for some reason, then Fast Track.

If you can spend a little more, I would get a Presonus AudioBox or an Echo Audiofire 2 if firewire is an option.

firebox from presonus if possible mate
best for the price

fast track pro will do awsome job if you dont get the bug of electricity (in dodgy places it reset itself)

i know the firebox is 100% compretible for live as tom cosm use this one

personly i got great price on second hand firewire 400 of m-audio and is pritty nice!

Haven't used it, but my bad experiences with Phonic products are only topped by Behringer.

I wouldn't suggest trying to go cheap on an interface. The Firebox or Saffire are the way to go for under $500, even if you have to save a bit more.

Elad... How much does the Audio box cost ?
Any other good USB soundcard u guys could suggest for LIve? I have an M-Audio Audiophile USB... but i am not much sure of its capabilities when it comes to LIVE. I know it can do the job.... but jsut like how u mentioned... i ve had friends who've had electricity problems with it. Any more info/tips?

Tascam do a reasonable budget unit which I would take over the M-audio and maya units any day.
