Hello there, a friend of mine is thinking in buying these studio monitors.
The point is, we hardly get the chance of having this kind of gear in the shops. In this case we can't listen to them.
Does anyone of you guys knows these monitors?
How does they sound?

Thanks in advance.           "The Light Children Are Awakening!"

i have a sp-sb5, which is a model almost the same as the BX5 (the one with 5-inch woofer).
i don't do any music (just djing) and for me they are very good, they have almost perfect sound.
"almost" because the bass isn't as good as the high or med (my headphones make it sound clearer)

Hi guys

I just put a pair of these speakers on hold?

Can anyone advise me further on how good they are?

They sounded good to me, but I'd like to hear from someone who uses them, or anyone who has an opinion on them for that matter.

I have a pair of these monitors, and I'm very satisfied with them. I also did loads of searching and testing before buying any monitors and I believe these are the best in its range, do not get the BX5 because the freq response is 56Hz - 25kHz and i believe (dont know the exact figure) but the human ear can definetly hear below 56hz

on the other hand the BX8 has a freq response of 37Hz - 20kHz

I suggest you compare the specs of all monitors you are looking to buy and if you dont understand something just ask           "Great things are only possible with outrageous requests." Thea Alexander

Buy them...they are great for the price!

I also have a pair of these in my studio and i'm really happy. The highs are a little high but if you know how to set them for your particular type of music you're in your way...they have also a great mid range and the lows are superb!

I got them ...and i'm very happy with them...
They got a lot off bass...but you can cut it, with a switch on the back...80hz-47hz-37hz....
There's also a 2-position MID-range switch :"flat" & "presence".
And a high freqs roll-off , 0db, -2db, -4db...and finaly an acoustic space switch, for if they're positioned in a corner, at wall or free...

Loadsa options for a great set of monitors...

OK thanks guys - I'm gonna buy em!!!

I've checked out pretty much everything else in this price range, except the JBL LSR25's, which were a little hard to track down to listen to in-store where I am (Brisbane). The only speakers I heard which came close to these in quality were the Tannoy Reveals, but they did not have the clarity of bass of these speakers. I trialled the BX8's against a $6500 set & they stood up well!!
