Hello
I have already gone through sound card thread but I still need to ask this question- which sound card :-(?

I am planning to buy M-Audio Audiophile 2496 but wanted to know if that one would be suitable for electronic music.I dont want to buy something and then come to know that I should have bought something else.

One thing more, how dramatically can a soundcard improve the sound. At present I am using Legacy Audio Drivers(i know they are not good).

Thanks           "We surely know by some nameless instinct more about our futures than we think we know."

You will notice the difference immediately assuming you're using monitors. I did.

Audiophile 2496, people will tell you there is better for the money around. But as a starter sound card it can't be beat. Been using mine for 3 years and I'm happy with it. Can't say I've tried anything else with my setup, but it does the job. I have little need for lots of inputs and outputs so its basic functionality suits me fine. Stability - never had a problem, not once. Latency is very low too (6ms/5ms in/out respectively).

i had this one for a while too, it worth the money u will spend one it. When you get more money and feel the need for more in/outs then u swith it. People say it a sound card for beginners but u can make killer tracks using it.           www.myspace.com/beehivelive
