hi there!
Well I've heard a lot of mumbo jumbo about lunar calendars, with some ideas so far out that they totally put me off the whole subject. However I've had some interesting experiences lately that made me want to reconsider... So my question is, do you people know more on the subject? What is the exact calendar you people use and what are your personal findings with it?

Could you share your experiences here? I would be thankful if you could direct me to some good Internet sources about Lunar calendar that could be put into practice. |

Well I have no idea myself, HOWEVER I have found a very interesting study finding correlations between the lunar phases and the stock market so there's definately SOMETHING going on there...

I've read about change in taste of wine according to the lunar calendar. Also, I think that there's an advice when to plant and harvest plants. |

well most of the ancient cultures used & in sum cases still use lunar calender like Hindus & Muslims
i've been keeping a close watch on the Hindu calender & i'm very much stunned on how precises it is in predicting weather relative to the solar calender!
the problem with valuing art is, till u dont understand it, it's worthless but wen u do understand it, it's priceless!! |

There is more than one lunar calendar. For example, the Jewish and the Hindu calendars have their own ways of snapping back after they deviate too much from the solar cycle, while the Muslim calendar disregards the solar cycle completely and drifts by 11-12 days every year.
If you're talking about lunar phases only: some people cannot sleep well during full moon. Also, I know that there is a surge in ER admissions during this time in a local hospital. Would be interesting to document it in other hospitals and see if it's true in other cities/countries.

Well Happy New Year! Cool to be able to say that several different times a year.
As far as lunar cycles go, I've learned:
Full moon + menstruation = keep real cool and don't piss her off!
