We hope you will join us in celebration under the full harvest moon this Saturday in the Mojave desert. Many energies have come together to make this event possible, and the intention surrounding it is pure. Check our website for rideshare opportunities, www.mistressofevil.com
*Just a reminder that this is a leave no trace event, so please pack out when you bring in.
*Porta-potties will be provided, as well as some shade around the dancefloor.
*Free chai and fruit will be offered in the nite and morning.
*Make sure you bring enough water and food, we are not selling anything in the party.
*The weather looks perfect in the area for the weekend: Sunny with highs of 86/lows in the 50’s but please BE PREPARED for all types of weather, it is the desert and it could get very cold at night and very hot during the day!
*Participate in the fire ritual. From KFire:
The Coven Fire Troupe would like to invite you to participate in the magickal fire-water ritual we have planned for the Lunatic event. Please read on to find out how...
Though there will of course be plenty of fire in this ritual, we will also be taking the opportunity of the full moon to honor the water element and to
harness its power for our circle. We will be doing this by washing crystals that we've brought to the circle in water collected for us from our friends Zik, Nikita, and Catia from places around the world (Mt Olympus in Greece, a faerie lake in Scotland, and a source in Portugal) and from the local hot springs. This water will be bathed in the rays of the full Harvest moon that will be shining bright on the 17th and will thus be perfect for cleansing and charging crystals that can then be used as amulets for
various purposes (protection, strength, creativity, etc) depending on the type of crystal.
If you would like to have a power amulet for the coming winter months, please bring a small to medium-sized crystal with you to the event.
How it will work:
The ritual will take place around midnite. To initiate it we will cast a wide circle around the dance fire. We ask everyone to particpate by forming a large circle and leaving plenty of room for the fire dancers to dance in the circle. Toward the end of the ritual, we will go around the circle to collect crystals in the water bowl from those who have brought them to the circle. The water bowl will then be placed on the altar and the ritual will end. You can then go to the altar at some point before the end of the event to recollect your charged crystal. Of course, please do not take a crystal that isn't yours.... a very bad idea considering the power they will now have!

*There will be a map posted on our website on Thursday evening for visual reference, and the directions are as follows:
From San Francisco…
Take all alternate routes to the 99 freeway South past Bakersfield to the 58 East. Proceed to the intersection with the I-395.
From Los Angeles…
Take all alternate routes to the 14 freeway North, pass Lancaster, and, just as you enter the town of Mojave, turn right (east) on the 58. There is a Fastrip Service Station on the corner. This road actually takes you to the 58 so when you get to an overpass, turn right onto the 58 East. Head east for 35 miles to Kramer Junction where the 58 and the 395 meet.
Everyone…
At Kramer Junction (58 and the 395) you must reset your odometer and head North on the 395 for 6.8 miles. Then turn right onto an unmarked dirt road which heads south for a couple of hundred yards before turning east again.
*Note: if you see a blue "Call Box" you have gone too far. Turn around and head south on I-395 for about 0.2 miles. If you see overhead power lines alongside the dirt road you have also gone too far. The correct dirt road has a stop sign.
Follow the dirt road east for 6.8 miles. You will pass three red tires buried in the sand on your left, then a bullet ridden diamond shaped sign (this will be the SECOND bullet ridden diamond shape sign you pass) just before the next turn to your left. Proceed on this road for 0.8 miles, make a right then drive another 3.0 miles east. Then turn right (south) for 0.8 miles and right again (west) for 0.5 miles. There are two small sign posts here. Turn right into the parking and camping area.
*Note: The road you just came in on defines the perimeter of the property. Please do not park or camp outside of this area. The property is 40 acres so there will be plenty of space to park and camp.
The roads are good with only a few bumps and dips. Most passenger vehicles will have no problems. Be careful of driving in the sand, try to stay in the vehicle tracks.

This is gonna be a major ripper! Can't wait to go to the Mohave for my first time... All about getting blasted by a 3 hour Zik set!! And I heard good things about Kaiko, this should make for a wonderful sonic journey. See you Saturday!

Wow... I think that I left a bunch of brain cells in the desert. I had sooo much fun there and all I have to say is Zik played some of the most amazing music I have ever heard. Hands down the craziest stuff that I've ever experienced. Despite the slight late start, the night just raged on... Penta in the morning, damn!!! So incredibly awesome, I had to buy a copy of Funraiser on the spot... All the music was definitely highly psychedelic and for the most part incredibly intense... Definitely some of the best music I've heard all in one night since Gil on Memorial Day. Way to go MoEs... And thanks a million!
