Everyone I talk to are saying that LSD by hallucingon is amaizing and that it is a classic,
I cant even understand what nice about it ,care to enlighten me? |

And on another issue does somebody here actually believes that trance would have been as popular as it is ,or even exists if there was no acid ??

what i think that ppl discoverd that L.S.D gows great with trance.
like in the 60's it was rock&roll

I used to be like you. I saw/heard absolutely nothing special in this song. I actually disliked people who praised this song to the skies, I just thought that they liked it cause everyone else did.
One day I was sitting in the subway on my way to school and listening to "Hallucinogen @ DNA Lounge" live set from my tiny MD player with my fabulous Sony groove headphones. I was almost sleeping, I had no idea on what was going on around me, it almost felt like I was high, then suddenly: "I believe....." I knew what song it was..
I just felt so good. I missed my station without paying any attention to it, I just.. listened.. it was one of my best experiences ever.. no kidding..
This happened like 1 month ago or something..

ahhh:) it happend to me alot of time....:)
i cant define what so good about this track but it just sits so good in my mind...8)
this track touch me in a special way that only a few tracks had...
anyway shira, if you dont like it no body can enlight you...
mybe with time you would understand...;):)
it took me a lot of time to understand this track...

It's all about private taste , BUT this track is also very hard to understand , it took me almost half a year to figure it out .
IMHO it's great track with great story . |

I can think of five reasons
1. Listen to the start...

2. It was released in 1995... so very old (classic)... Or more like THE classic
3. Cool name "LSD"... :) you cant deny that trance has a lot to do with drugs (but only hallucinogens), and LSD is one of the strongest of them...
4. And of course, its a very good track, especially the melody that starts afer half the track.
5. Made by if not the greatest, then one of the greatests trance producers ever.

A. Not all of us are drug addicts. I don't think trance has more to do with drugs than any other form of music (Heavy Metal, Rock 'n Roll in the 60s..etc).
B. LSD is not the strongest hallucinogenic drug.. not even one of the strongest.. |

A. Actually I didnt mean drugs but hallucinogen drugs. Weed, crack, heroin etc Im sure is used by both rocknroll and hip hop creators...
B. Please tell what drug that is stronger. With LSD you can get high on as little as 20 ug. (1 ug = 1/1000000 gram) |

Well, this is the track that changed my musical priorities from rave/breakbeat/techno/trance in that order to trance/everything else.
The first time I heard it I thought "it's nice, but where's the drive?"... Then a couple of weeks later, I just thought for a second and the melodies suddenly seemed clearer, I ran home, turned off the lights, and put it on again, for the second time.
It's brilliance isn't in any one moment - it's brilliance is that it is a story, a wonderful one. If you're looking for simple heart pumping power - hear techtrance, if you want the music to move you from the head first to the feet - this is how it's done. Psychedelia at it's deepest and best. |

shira, its really very simple ..
why do people like a song ? because each person develops their own special feeling for that song, they know it, it hits all the right notes with them .. it flows ..
lsd did that pretty universally, it was a formula which simon found, that appealed to everyone .. maybe you didnt listen to it fully, or maybe that formula isnt for you , either way, its no loss ..
i was just listening to the playa remix of trip tonite .. and for the first time, realised what people have been raving abt for so god dman long ..
its beautiful ! |
