I've read somewhere that an experiment was done regarding audiocd vs. mp3.
an experiment with some crazy audiophills who're super sensitive to music and only hear original audio cds. they were taken to a room with massive speakers and the experiment began.
they could recognize the 128kbs as mp3 easily. the 192kbs was a big harder to recognize but some of them did. eventually a high quality vbr mp3 was played and none of them could tell the different between the audio cd and the vbr mp3.
none apart from one guy that i guess just got lucky.

So, It`were my personal guessworks above...Now, i`ll tell you about the real reason of nonpopularity Lqt...
Lqt was closed noncommercial project for smth(i don`t know) and All programs for lqt, its codecs and so on are just cracked ones....So there wasn`t(and isn`t) the idea to make lqt commercial...
