How do I get rid of interference between kicks and bass notes? I am writing a phrase that has kicks and bass hitting at the same time, and the kicks sound really weak and quiet. I have tried EQing and filtering, but neither work. I am using Reason 4.0. Help! |

maybe try and choose a new kick or bass, certain sounds fits better with each other than others...
you should be able to find a good combination

automate the volume of the bassline-hits (easy substitute for sidechain-compressing) everytime the kick plays.
