Growing up, I remember when louis vuitton handbag used the French Company to distribute their pieces here in the usa at Neiman Marcus, Saks, and I. Magnin. The leather on the monogram canvas was already treated and did not have to "patina". The pattern and color of the canvas was slightly different. My French Company favorites were of course the Speedy 40 and the Keepalls. Does anyone else remember the "French Company"? Do you think they were more durable than the louis vuitton handbag pieces made in France, Italy, or Spain? Holla back!!! http://www.francelvstore.com
