Greetings Earthling,
How does a Pro Psytrance Artist like Space Buddah put all the sounds together.
I have a good DAW, Synthesizer, Digital Mixer, Psy samples, I know how to make a bassline. It just seems forever to make something. How can they put so many sounds constantly and synchronized? Are they using a mixer after the DAW? And then using a mixer to record the final product? Advice would be a gift from Goddess Safaia. |

Your DAW should have a mixer, in fact it's one of its most important features, and wouldn't be a DAW otherwise...
What program are you using?
You are asking something pretty vague...There isn't just one trick in putting an entire track together. Artist are doing many many things...
Check out this thread for lots of useful info.

GalacticCore - first, where did you get that bill reid art photo? I go to school where that carving is on display, it is totally awesome!
As far as psytrance - if you know how to make a bassline just start from there. Make bassline and kick, then add snare, highhats, perc, etc. then rig up some melodic synth and start pressing buttons until something sounds good, add that to the loop, then just keep goin.
make more loops and more loops eventually you will be able to make ones that flow from one to the other rather nicely, then you line all that action up in a sequencer and spice it up. add wooshes and such.
for pros and whatnot i imagine that its a bit more complex. I dont think Space Buddha makes some loops mashes em together and calls it good. but I do bet that he started makin loops at the beginning just like everyone else. That may be a good place for you to start too.

I think behind pros are years of learning and knowledge, they know what they are after and they make that idea into song very quickly.
Music theory, synthesis and production is a must,it's journey to become artist and that take time....
Be patient, never give up,we all have that momments.....
It's your music, your emotions and your trip, putting all that in track is what is all about, transforming thoughts into DAW is hard, but that's art....
