you may have a stationary wave in your room at that point..
that is probably why you can't hear the bass frequencies.. |

Your room isnt acoustic i guess...
Some frequencies "get canceled" when they are getting to same point...thats the main problem with non-acoustic room (like Tryambaka said )
I had the same problem with the Behringer / Room.

do you hear bass in prof tracks after 1 meter?
because if you don't it's a room problem |

don't worry about your monitors.. the problem is really your room fortunatly..
you hear a weak bass in prof tracks and none in yours because they're mastered..
the power of the bass is more present in a studio mastered track than in your tracks with home treatment |

professional tracks are undergoing massive mastering so even in non-acoustic room you'll propbly hear it very well so try locate your monitors infront of you in such a distance which will give you the result you want to achive in the final mix.
and some helpfull tricks for you to do at home.
- put your monitor above soft metirial (cotton , small pilos)
- dont place useless stuff near your monitors (keys or glass coz then you'll hear the bzzzzzz sound )
- place large objects in the corner of your room (like a bed or large pilos or TV.)

Just a question, why do you use ultramaximizer on the bass?

Hey man also try recodring your track and hear it on other sound systems it helps a lot! I also would suggest you hear a lot of music on your monitors so you ears get accustomed to it more! I always remember that your sound has to be like the mastered one because when they play live it sounds the same or even better Hope this helps!
