Hello again...

So... i try to making loops a lot of time this week, and i found a nice "good" idea!
1. must find a loop (style trance) in wav file

2. use FL Studio 6

3. write a simple loop pattern :
-for example K (kick), Ho(hats open), Hc (hats close) S (Snare)-
K...K...K...K
..Ho...Ho...Ho...Ho.
HcHcHcHcHcHcHcHcHcHcHcHcHcHcHcHc (with velocity and volume different u know)
....S....S....S....S

4. in FL Studio 6 insert the "Fruity Slicer" (just wonderfull and usefull for loops), load sample the loop file, and next when the loop have cut u can write some nice perc with that loop. Guys try it is the best way...For me, and its easy to make a loop.

I make some verry verry good loops and working great with my tracks!!!!
So...I Want to hear your comments about that....

Cheers...

like E-Motion said, take open and closed hats, snares and toms and play with them.. play with the velocity and change the hats on each part. thats must be better than ready loops beacuse its YOUR loop only!

try listen to some Sensient tracks, he sure know how to make his own loops and theyre killers!           http://www.myspace.com/minimalran

i make my own loops and i still use recorded loops... i dont see why you wouldn't... Make the best of both worlds... In DnB it's done all the time, complex DIY drumloops supported by recorded (and heavily filtered/EQ'd) drumloops that bring variation or fill up the background... also, it adds real human swing to your drumloops, something which is very difficult and frustrating work if you use a sequencer (ofcourse, you have those swing knobs which add swing, but a computer doesn't really know what to play a little slower and what he has to play a little faster, or when to be a fraction too early or a raction too late).

Ofcourse, it is true that it's best to first learn the techniques needed to make drums yourself...
