Yo yo yo

I have this problem that i often find,
lets say i have a pad sound, and playing from the synth, either hardware or vst it loops perfect, lets say 4 bars. but when exporting, with the tail, lets say 6 bars, but i want it to loop those 4 bars while creating a foundation. But as you would know it dont loop and it clicks, and fading the end will only make a abrupt loop, not seamless.

Most cases here i just open up a new channel and make a overlap and keep working forward and avoid looping.

But i know there must be another way, i work in Cubase SX and somehow i think its about zero crossing and finding the right loop-point, but i really would like some pointers how to achieve this?

Can you guys help?

Do a very short X-fade just so that you loose the non 0-crossing point. You shouldn't be able to hear the loop point....or simply bounce more bars than you need and sort it out there.

Peace out.

Thanks Disco
I will try it, Normally i bounce more bars and just ignore this, well i guess its good as its harder to get caught in a loop, hehe. But sometimes its nice to work with a 4 bar loop and just add melodies that fit each other and adding up and than later on start building on it... Well im working right now lets see what happens, i just connected the Nordlead 3 so im gonna keep at it

Peace out!
and Cheers

dude seems like, the tail that u want to carry with ur loop has to match , i mean it depends on how much delay you give to the sounds, for them tofit perfectly with each other, and i think its ok toopen another channel or you can overloop on the same channel, layer them on top of each other, but still the dlay has to be tweeked so it rollz smooth.i dont a problem here, just experiment more

Try to use the CrossFade function.

Make the wav file with the tail, and overlap the tail with the file again. Select both files and press "X".

I guess u should fade out the tail, and use no fade in at the beggining of the overlaped file.           LOADING...
