Looping in Pro Tools question

Hi every1
Started using Pro Tools for trance production lately (7.4) and I can't seem to find how to keep the loop in the arrange page stable, meaning - every time I stop the playback, the looped section is not highlighted anymore (the markers in the global tracks section are gone too) and I have to reloop it before I press Play again, until I stop playing back etc.
Another occasion when the loop disappears is when I make selection with the hand tool (highlighting single regions).
I think that basically the question is if I can disengage the looping mechanism from the currently highlighted selection/s.
I'm sure there is a simple solution, something to tick in the preferences that is called in some completely different name....

I'm not that familiar with protools, but it should be in the first page of the options window or a keycommand...not quite sure tough
