Would it be possible to loop the mid section of a single shot sample, resulting in having long sustaining percussion sounds?
If so, which sampler may be the right one for doing the job?

every sampler that allow looppoints... be sure to loop at zero-wave crossing. works very well with kicks ^^
ni kontakt or ni battery sure will do what you want. halion or fxpansion guru should work too... and lotsa others.

Any other tips?
Thing is, I also want to loop sounds like those Psy squelch sounds, but have the 'squelch' squelching on and on without having to modulate its pitch.
Would it be possible? |

Where does modulating pitch even come in?
  You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me? |
