You don´t need to export to audio...
In logic, If I remember correctly the exact delay feedback in Tape Delay to achieve this is 57. Just experiment if u got logic, inser tape delay in the track, now add an automatation line in the track connected to the feedback, and when you want the delay to start looping (before a break or something) you draw it up to 57 (never more or it will crash, never less or it won´t loop, must be exact 57 i think) and leave the line constant at 57 until you want the loop to stop (end of break for eg), then you just draw feedback under 57 again and voila, loop is gone back to dub delay. You can play with automatation to make it drop suddenly or more slowly...
Dam....this is one of the effects i used in logic all the time and that i do miss a lot |

ooohhh ok I see
I thought you meant the Tape Delay, that one hasnt got a sync option, but there is a Formula to sync the delay by miliseconds anyway, I think it is 60,000 devided by the BPM.
Cool man thanks |

i noticed i like this effect alot... chemical bros use it quite often the delay is normal and then becomes looped at a certain point on itself.... how is this done?
ohmboyz delay has a loop function thingie.... but i find it hard to automate it.
anyone have any experience with this?
if examples are needed, ill upload some stuff.

psp42 has a button for endless repetition which can be automated. in other delays, automating the feedback should do the trick.
