is there such a thing as no latency audio and midi soundcards? which are considered good? I know protools is zero, but does not include the midi.... |

even protools is not zero... analogue to digital conversion takes 3 milliseconds, and digital to analogue conversion takes another 3 milliseconds. So the theoretical minimum latency is 6ms. |

even hardware synths have some small latency
if the latency is less or equal to 10 ms its already considered to be good. I have latency 10 ms on my audigy 2zs platinum card and 3 ms on RME HDSP 9632 which is not remarkable at all. |

i Bought a module called Midex 8 , and hooked my midi trhu it , it is said that the latency on all midi is 0 , that the Midex precounts the arrangment makes buffer space , and always is ahead in the arrangement .
Well ... since i hooked it up ,.. i havent had problems with any midi ,,, very few crashes .. eventhough i have a drum set 2 synhts and a midi keybioard set up ..
