Hi Guys!
Does anyone know of a good sample set of tabla hits? I'd be loading it into groove agent in Cubase most likely. Pre-mapped would be really cool. Maybe, for instance, something in a mpc format, or another format that would be compatible with either groove agent, or another included plug-in in Cubase.
I'm not really looking for loops, just single hits.
Free would be great, but I'm interested in looking at all options.
Thanks! |

One of the free packs from the One Laptop Per Child audio database has tabla hits, at least, I think thats where I got it... Ill make it easy, I can never find that damn site thru google, so Ill just upload them for you.
If you want to dig thru Google I highly recommend ALL the packs on the OLPC database.
Link soon
Edit; I just now saw you wanted premapped files... They're WAVs, and theres Live reference files along woith them... Ill throw you the link anyway and you can figure it out

They're free, royalty free, public domain, as is the whole database

Cool! Thanks! These sound pretty good too! Nice tip about the OLPC stuff. I actually wasn't aware this project existed, since I thought the laptops involved with the project wouldn't be able to handle audio related work.
While looking for more, I found this wiki:

I guess the audio was more for system sounds, or something... But I guess teh whole OLPC project is on hold indefinitely due to hardware issues.
And thats teh link, that I had asuch a hard time finding, more than once I must just be suffering from acute American Brain
