hi,
check "arabic vibration" by squazoid.
http://web.mac.com/jem.b/squazoid/Listen.html
also many more good tunes there.
fyi...this might not be exactly what your looking for, but it's the first thing that popped into my mind considering the forum in which you requested this. also try posting this in world forum??

the track "Kimiyaa e Moraad" in Gaudi's Bass, Sweat & Tears is in farsi
The track "Two Windows" in Saafi Brothers' Supernatural is in farsi too. the lyrics are from a famous classic persian song.
in the compilation, "Tibet - A Culture in Danger" the 2nd track "The Way to the Light" by Bahramji feat. Mashti is in farsi.
Yahel also has 2 songs with persian vocals but i can't remember which ones.
Amir Baghiri is also a persian artist who has few albums with persian theme but there's no vocal.
i can't think of anything else right now...
oh and those that damon suggested but they're more like new age world music. =) |

lovely...
unfortunately with these extremists ruling in iran, persian music has become really isolated. Persian music have the potential to be used in electronic music more often specially music related to sufism which is all about trance. |

again, it's world music and i'm not really fond of new age/world music. it sounds much better when it blends with other styles. the way indian music is right now (which is over used these days).
the few songs i heard from mercan dede were like the turkish version of rumi (i think). it's like going to Chinese fast food in US and claiming that you've tried chinese food
