He's not old school, but I find Merkaba somewhat similar to Elysium. He's got a couple of albums. Go to this Bandcamp link to get a sense of his music:

I don't hear much of my Elysium sound in his work. I think he got his own sound much closer to progressive than my Elysium tribal sound.
