looking for analogue synth

hey,
i'm interested in analogue synths, but there's so much out there. does anyone know of any $500-700 (used price) synths that nice? I'm looking for something with real time oscillation controls, your basic filter, and midi output.

for instance, i found a yamaha cs2x. would this be a good synth? is US$600 a good price? |

The cs2x is more of a toy than a real synth but if you like yamaha check out the cs6x (the same series) it has a lot more to offer but may cost an extra 100-150$ (used)! |

i recomend the yamaha AN1X over the cs2x- the AN1X has served me very well, it only cost me £500 new (they were supposed to be discontinued, but they carried on for a while- i don't know if you can still get them). however, the best is the Korg MS2000 (rackmount and keyboard are both the same).its really easy to programme and make sounds on, and ideal for psychedelic trance, you can make any number of rough synths and change them and make them evolve. cheap too (about £650 for the keyboard, £530 for the rackmount) |
