That is not necessary... to split bass eq.
One solution can be EQ a single note bass then render and sample different notes... no need to further eq each one since it has been already treated then transposed.

but the problem after 3 or 4 semi tone from the root sample key you will hear aliasing or artifacts cause of the resampling algoryhtm.maybe not a big compromise but no point to eq each note differently if it s for having aliasing with the sampler . sampling more than one if not all the octave would be better. |

This was suggested on the ableton forums, gonna try it out when I get home:
"throw an instrument rack into that channel, then make a chain for each note, using the key zones to assign the right key to each chain. Then throw in instrument and efx into each chain."
This should allow me to separate the notes, but keep it all on one channel. http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

Which sampler are you using that gives you aliassing if you change pitch by as little as 4 semitones?

You still could send the bass ignal to a return an highpass it, thenn process the highpassed signal in another way like the low end..then you are able to work with more pleasure since you won`t have to midi channels to adjust everytime you change a note.
sure its not the same as using a complete other patch but still a nice technic..just my 2 cent..
