Are you looking for a hardware compressor or software ?
SSL channel strip would not be a wise choice becouse your always going thru the Gain path and thats not always good, also its really expensive unit and most of all its mono and your probably looking for a duel mono version..
it really depends on what are you planning to get the compressor for ? do you want it mainly for prec/vocals/pads ? are you going to use it for 2buss as well ? what about budget ? |

i meant software.i'm using it usually for Kick/bassline issues does it matter?.thx guys i'll try the crunchy thing |

well..i've tried the crunchessor and i didn't figure out how things gets compressed here.do i need to play with the drive and the dry mix buttons like its tesh and ratio? |
