i know ...
u must understand :
a "broken" cubase has well known bugs which effect your system ..
we have a great great gear :
pulsar + luna over new asus 1.6 giga pentuim 4 platform ...
u must undersand we force crushes every day ...
and it's all cubase fualt !!!
shit i know ....
i thought i could find a second hand dow !!

try to get from somebody one of the oldest cubase and then go to the shop with the plug and upgrade it to the newest one.
Its cheaper ! |

[u]for example[/u] : if you got the Cubase 3.7 with a plug then you could go to musicshop or other places and take with you the old plug and they give you the new upgrade plus the new plug that work with all version till the last upgrade. |

K you'r right about asking for troubles when working with your core program that is krackled ...
anyway i have VST 3.7 + plug+books (can be D/L updater to 4.x) BUT if you have ze VST5.1 setup disk (i have) there's a SetuP for 3.x plug owners ...!!!!
not tested yet though!!
i will be happy to get rid of it for 800gubas

i have paradox cubasevst32 5.1 on win2k and it not crushed with 80 percent cpu load
its all about asio drivers
ps: for example i cant work in cubase in win98 because of crushes
