I'm looking for simple Frequency Analyser with leds
(hardware only).
I found the KlarkTeknik too expansive for me , but maybe there is some old cheap analysers secondhand somewere out there ? . .

because he wants to analyze hardware synths,
and software analyzer loses frequencies
during A->D conversion...

right, robot ?

software won't really lose a big amount of frequncies - I mean - what are u recording? signals from out of space or music?!

I guess he wants something reliable and fast?

Right Bilbo, but I assume he's planning to record the synth to a computer, isn't he? So he'll loose (not much of a lose if using a high quality sound card & ADC) those frequencies anyway, and by using a hardware analyzer before recording he'll get an irrelevant analysis, right?
And are hardware analyzers really that more reliable than software ones, that it's worth to spend a large sum instead of investing in other studio equipment?

Maybe he wants it for live performances and stuff? Maybe he wants to wash the dishes with it?

Ok , cool , it's my friend's idea R2D2, robots like to wash dishes with frequency analysers, so we have a lot of dishes to wash (i mean satellite dishes)
btw , we don't have a sound card in our spaceship and we lookin' for some old cheap analyser unit .
In the future i want to buy a good AD/DA box instead of regular soundcard , i mean something like Prism or Apogee.
