yes and in continuation of psygirls point, when they want to feel natural and not use any chemicals on the hair, not giving much importance to combing their hair ,they end up having dreads
of course, there are the ones which also go to barbershops to get dreads done

hehehehe funny topic
In my punk rock days when I was 15 with 50c I could have my hair shaved to a skin head, by the time I was 17 my finance was in a critical state so then i could not afford that 50c so I grew it long ... and fucked off to U.K. ... then it was even more expensive to cut it, so longer it grew, then I got so used to it being long so it grew even longer !!! , since then I met my present girlfriend which she is a hair stylist,so then of coarse it grew even longer hi hi hi !!!
but recently I noticed that even pulling my hair into a pony tail is a hassle and I could not be bodered of doing my hair before leaving home, leaving my appartment into the elevator arises a great shock since you can't help looking in the mirror when i realise my hair is in a mess 'nothing unusual here' he he he so I come to the conclusion that shaving it off will solve all the hassle !!!
never cared much how my hair look

Something like that happened to me, but when I had dreads, funny enough it didn´t feel natural to me at all. I missed how the wind goes through your hair and the whole feel of "floating" hair.
I cut them off quickly and now I love to brush my hair. I still don´t use chemicals though
One thing I don´t get here is, that some people write, that they couldn´t afford the hairdresser and that´s why they grew their hairlong. If you really didn´t care, why didn´t you cut it yourself? |

That's pretty convenient I guess. Keeps you from falling forwards if you fall asleep on a chair.
