is there any easy solution to previewing long samples with many pcs inside 1 track?
why do i have to open a 45 second sample just to extract a 3 second pc from the middle of it?
why do some sample cd do it in the first place? i mean - its just extra work to find the sample you want and have to go into soundforge and cut it up....
as my brothers in israel say: "why like this?"

its karma.
i havnt worked too much with sample cds so i cant really feel your pain, but im sure the reason is something like "to make your life just a little more hellish"
[edit]
i was thinking... this reminds me of when me and my friends made a full length movie. we would shoot all day a have multiple 180 minute tapes and use only a few seconds from the middle of each of them. it was a bitch. maybe thats what the makers of those cds were going through. they recorded a whole bunch and were too lazy to cut it up. they thought you could do the work instead of them. and in cubase it's very easy to cut out the parts u need too... just import the whole goddamn file and then place the start and endpoints around the sample u want, or simply take the cut-tool en cut in the right places. Or take recycle or something like it and let it cut it up in equal pieces.
anyway, don't be too lazy... if u get samples the classic way (by sampling, not by buying/downloading sample-cd's) u have to cut them up urself too If u don't like cutting up audio, then don't sample |
