Sticking wiyh SL and LP9 my self. Not nearly enough new things on offer and I am not going to ditch my favorite 32bit plugs to have the latest version of Logic.

+ the new GUI puts me off big time.

i think i won t mess with my install too.. everyhting perfect on snow leopard on my mbp..

if later i make a hackintosh i will definelty upgrade..

will check report ..if its rock stable and less cpu consuming i might get tempted to upgrade.

i like the new interface ,the new features..arpeggio look neat ..flex pitch great but i need it just for artistic use.. midi routing is probably more flexible and it s what i really need..

hey, do you have now Logic X?As I see it is just 180€ which is reall great price, I'm considerating whether to upgrade or not. Is there no discount from 9? ..180 is still a very good price. Also, anyone uses OS X mavericks? Will it make something not running? .. hmmm the new OS for mac is for free, also necesseary to run the latest logic on it.. hmm quesitons over questions..           https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden

nope mate still Sl logic 9 for now ,
i dont think there is any discount for logic X

maverickes was not ready last time i checked compatibilty ,bugs ect... on forums

also not sure it s good to update a older computer with lastest os and applications ect..might work better with the os it was coming with..for me snow leopar , it s really stable . for example when i update for lastest application, like safari ect i notice more and more buggs /crash , i m sure it will be the same with logic and lastest plugs ect on that few years old computer. newer soft are not made to run on that old hardware .
so i think i will leave that mbp on snow leopard and wait for a new rig to use all the lastest stuff

Same here. The way I see it, I need to spend cash and time to configure my system running on a new OS, in order to do the exact same thing that I am doing right now, with no problems and no need for an update.

Its just silly.

hmm mercie PoM sounds very convincing. I got snow leopard too I think I let all as it is too. The new Logic is very tempting though. I think it's not just a good upgrade it rather an overkill of goodness. I felt for a long time that Logic is a very stable Daw but after last year I now would say it is the most unstable Daw of'em all. Dunno why it crashes almost each time when I'm deep in synthesis especially ES2 and to me even more annoying is the crases in Sculpture. Dunno why such a fuck. Somehow when I make a preset and once it crashes the only way to continue is to reopen this mofo fow maybe 4-5 edits and save again. wack. Time stealing. It only happens with Logic Synths here. Only ES2 and Scultpure. Really strange. I think the new version is overall a really stable one.           https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden

I wouldn't be so optimistic about it. it's not what I read from online reports. still a long way to go before it's stable, just see what they're doing with the latest updates on their update log.

overall I think that Logic is pretty stable under snow Leopard, which was a very good OS to. you can try to reinstall Logic, as it will keep you user settings and components where they should be. only thing is, you'll have to activate all the third-party plugs again, but might solve the crashing issue. no such thing round here. Logic X showed some odd cpu spikes in here, just when it came out.

will keep an eye on user reports. cheers

I get 0 problems from Logic native synths. Must say that Logic 8 that is the most stable that I have used, is legit.
