There goes words from a Mac user but i hope it can help you anyway...
When you install the m-audio drivers it install too a small drive file on the ASIO DRIVERS locate on your software. You have both programs (LOgic and Cubase).
I think maybe the installer only create the driver on the Cubase folder. As you install Logic after the m-audio maybe it needs this driver on the folder (check if you dont have an older Asio version on Logic).

Jeto,
was it like that first time you ran Logic? or only after you configured the ASIO in Logic and Relaunched it ?

I guess you configured the ASIO in Logic, since Logic doesn't initialize sound automaticly but when you set it up.

So I suppose its the directX plugins problem.
and when ASIO is taken by Cubase, Logic will not initialize directshow plugins - and therefor will open Logic.

so, run plugin enabler tool, and disable all unnecessary directX plugins. (I disable them all - everything loads much smoothly this way)

cheers.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

see if you can select the ASIO from the list.
see if you can work with EASI instead.

there shouldn't be a prob with this really.

reinstall m audio drivers also.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...
