I'm a Logic user, love it, but I've been messing around with Ableton.. and now I'm considering switching to Live...
It's all about features that logic comes with VS. the workflow of Live and fun.
what is your opinion?? for who tried both |

isnt there an issue with the bounce of tracks in logic i heard u got nudge em and stuff, and im sorry but thats not acceptable from a major old skool veteran sequencer... if thats tru id stick to live, even though i found a few days ago a logic 5.5 pc version crack... the plugins it comes with are preettty darm impresive but that issue of bouncing tracks and the fact that theres no manual around to really give it a shot kinda of turn me off and i just pushed it aside... till now i havent found anything like live, its my choice of sequencer and ive tried many but live reigns king in my studio, ever since i first downloaded it craack there was something about it that caught my attention i feel it thinks just like me so i went off and bought it ever since thats my workhorse... i just wish they would make it more cpu friendly they gotta tweak the code or something more for it to be the mac daddy plus an audio editor inside needs to be implemented.. Ableton live for life... BOOM |

opensource b4 u take that step my recommandation would be to take a lil visit to the logic forum, and read what the real users are complaining about then base ur desicion, cus its really a big jump from pc to mac!!! just for logic??? dunno just chek their forum and then decide if u wanna take that step, i recommend anyone to chek the products forum b4 buying its a great idea
that will open ur eyes dont go by reviews, no one likes to state they're products downfall just they're pros...only those peoples that are like u and me who dont have any ties to the company can enlighten with the truth... i think theres companies that have good relationships with magazines like electronic musician, keyboard magazine etc and therefore get helped to sell more and thats truth business is business , my 2 cents which i feal are more than 5 million bucks!!!

yeah there are some problems with Logic, but then again same with all of the sequencers..
as psyaudio said its good to do your research. In the Logic forum people will not be talking about the pros, but what is wrong, and lots of bitching. from what I hear its not as bad as the steinberg forum hee-hee
but like any app, its about finding which one best fits your approach, and if you haven't developed an approach yet, then looking at the features, picking one and sticking with it..
personally I found Live limited in alot of aspects for production, although I hear they added a side chain and some new features with the new version. a few lives I have scene don't even use it in session mode, which in that case I think you might as well use a DAW since its sort of defeating the purpose for which it was designed....
Gamma Riders EP out now on iTunes and Amazon.com!

sooo
I have not much experience with live, but I'm really happy with logic! I used 5.5 on pc for ages and now since a half year 8 on mac...true, the last pc version is really kinda old, but logic 8 rocks!
in 8 there arent any really BIG bugs, seriously I experienced not one bug yet...
have a look at sonikmatter...most real problems of folks there are not directly caused by logic, but from conflicts with 3rd party stuff or the setup! the only little thing I came across is that the arp object in the environment doesnt work correct sometimes
anyway, I really dig logic for its many great features, environment functions & native plugins...only thing that still needs improvements is the audio-processing handling in the direction of cubase/protools...f.e. that you can add fx on single audio parts, and work totally in a non-destructive way

+1 so my sound has gotten a lot cleaner and less glitchy as a result of using logic, although glitch is now overplayed and overrated IMHO. |

oh its not a cause for a not glitchy sound...there are several ways how you can get really good glitched results by hand in logic

people complain about some functions which they don't understand.. and in the end the problem is resolved by some random user with the help of discussions..
everyone who has posted (including me) in the apple forum is there because they have some problem or they haven't understood some small function and that's why that forum is there ... to help...
what will people post in the help/discussion forum if not problems and troubles.. ?
respect !
