Works for me....
check osx86project.org for compatibility of your hardware..... I'm using uphuck v1.4i r3, it's a smaller download, works without too much hassle. Motu Ultralite works fine. |

I have a Delta 1010, and think it will work fine with Logic 8 on my g4 (Logic 7 does)...don't have 8 !!!
But now i'm working on my new intelmac, which doesn't support my delta 1010
Now i sync my old g4 by mtc whenever i need to record any outboard gear...a bit annoying, but i don't have money for a firewirecard at the moment, so it'll do fine for the moment...
But i can use more plugs now
Core audio works fine for what i do, not tested it's limits yet...
Ran a demo with about 5 space designers + 8 sculpturesynths, and it didn't bother the mac at all

Too bad Delta doesn't have a PCIe version... ;/
I meant a PCI soundcard on a pc running osx though.

@ pipe&slippers
Never heard of the key commands :
shift+APPLE(cmd)+3 to make picture of whole screen
or
shift+APPLE(cmd)+4 to make picture of part of screen
Just thought it would be easier for you, and clearer picture

in the install section it autodetects ur sound card drivers, it detected my emagic 2/6 in the start, all u have to do is click on it coz it doesnt install them by default
anyway, i think mac removed the dongle coz it wants to sell more macs, personally i like it, though i have just 512 ram at my mac at the moment but albino runs quite good on it , i already love it, way better then 7 of what i saw

Thanks for that. They could have simply put a PrintScrn button on the QWERTY, just like the PCs. Damn Macs |

it is? strange I have exactly the same computer that you have but with 2gb ram only and it works awesome, I've been hard on my machine loading heaps of vst's plugins, effects, etc and so far i have never been able to exhaust the cpu or memory.
I simply love Logic 8 it's killaaaaaargh!!!!! the sound quality is pristine, the synths and effects it comes with have a quality that no other sequencer has, and the new interface made everything easier to find, I guess that all sequencers have their strong points but for me logic is simply amazing I used cubase for years but I felt in love instantly with logic and mac's as soon as I switched, with logic's powerful tools like ultrabeat I finish a track in about 1/4 of the time it took me to finish it with cubase.
and regarding mac os X, it is true that computers are computers and none is inmune to crashes, but at least in my case this computer is rock stable and thanks to the advanced unix kernel of the OS you get much more power from your system that what you'd get on a windows platform (imho at least)
