"A" opens automation in the arrange window

alt+cmd+n ->open a new track (menu) in the arrange
" " " ->open a new auxiliary track (menu) in the mixer

alt+c ->open color menu

"R" -> record

alt+click -> reset any parameters (logic's plugins too)

esc-> opens toolbox

cheers

alt+click on any inserts or sends in a channelstrip will bypass them

also not really a shortcut, but lets say you selected a track in the arrange that got for example 2 sends, you can view them all in the inspector...1 time click on send1 will show the bus its going to, same for all other sends its going to and the output of that channel strip!

just in case you didnt know this           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

How do you punch out of a recording without stopping play?

If playing i hit "R" to initiate record but then if i hit it again nothing happens? Very annoying for me..

Also when recording midi why is their notes being recorded on C1 and seem this is the metronome (even if i have it bypassed?) also seems the note length length wis determined by the quantise set and also this only hits on every beat, so thisis why i think its the metronome (never had the metronome recorded in when using cubase).I want the metronome on/ to play but not to be recorded?

And thirdly when overdubbing midi it stacks new ?Midi takes on top of each other which i then have to constantly merge which can also be a bit irritating. How do get overdubbing to be added into the already there region as opposed to creating new regions.

I know this is a bit off topic but i have searched the manual thoroughly and jsut cant seem to pinpoint any of these.

your first question I can answer, just click on the play button when you want to stop recording and it will continue playing

no idea about the second one tough, I didnt have this problem yet...for the third, if you keep recording in a loop, it will place all notes in the same region...it just makes a new one if you stop and hit rec again

but thats a good thing imo, cause this way you dont screw up whats already there if you record shit           https://soundcloud.com/hazak
