are all the midi notes the same velocty? i don't have any instability problems triggering a sine wave from osc1.
i trigger all my kicks in real time, i never had to bounce as my quad macpro can handle a lot of CPU + logic native synths sound great and are very CPU effective...here's a recent kick made on UB with Logic's Channel EQ and Logic's FET compressor doing the processing

I heard that ajja adds a small amount of fm to the beginning of his bass he makes with esm.
That would be on the es1 and its filter fm you'll be looking for (in the Router section)... dont set the amount more then 50% (too clicky) and dont set the Mod Envelope to less then -120ms or you will lose the note (tone). Hope that helps
Also... the esm can be great for bass... but it doesnt re-trigger the same every time so needs to be re-sampled to get a steady, dependable psy bassline
New Ajja album coming soon on Peak Records!

Anyone knows a shortcut in logic to automatically set the markers to fit my current selection like P in cubase or command+L in ableton?

What's the best way to achieve a pitch bending in logic? Resampling?
Because u know i'm kinda missing the cubase pitch shift + curve envelope to spice up my wave clips.

because of logic i prefer using realtime processing instead, especially if you're chaining plug in's. no more Process > Undo < change parameter > repeat.
the great thing about logic is offline bounce. just stack a few plug in's, automate, control+B (by default) and voila! i wish pro tools had offline bounce. Pro Tools 11 might.
its a little waste of time if you just want to pitch something up or down or time stretch it. For that you can just open the sample editor (w) and then control + P to open time-stretch or pitch shift window. you can find it in one of those small tabs in sample editor. i can't remember where it is exactly.
i don't put anything in a sampler unless i know i'm going to be using it more than a handful times in a session. Keep things simple and fast.

Any rendered audio?
So you mean logic has no built in pitch bending capabilities?
Hmmm so sad.
And if i do have to insert a sampler, is exs24 the best? or what do you guys usually do when you want to pitch shift audio files?
I really thought that speed fades would be more helpful but they don't work as i expected.
i think the option to make a exs24 instrument from the sele ction and then automate it or use a modulation could be fast and in the end lead to more creative stuff than just pitch bending, haven t tried it yet but even on cubase i was mostly using kontakt for pitchbending , better algorythms on some source and more flexibility

+1. And if I might add, anytime I want to make a pitch bending effect, drone, whatever, I make it using synths, where pitch bending is simply a matter of playing around with the pitch bend on my controller.
There is a great plug in for pitch bending in Logic (the word pitch is not included in its name ) ...well not exactly pitch bending but some kind of brutal formant bending that sounds a lot more interesting to me than the basic pitch bending.
Its fully automatable and you can fine tune things really easy.
