Ive seen that you can change the outputs of the main mix and send them to a Surround "option".. You can even choose some types of surround. Does anyone know what is this for real because i cant see any sound becoming more surrounding or any significant modification. Is it because my sound card or the surround efecct should play on any sound card?

You can setup surround outputs in options.
If you have enough outputs on your soundcard, and you have a big surround monitoring system, surround channels can help you.
