ahhh the fustration !!!
i am using logic platinum 5.5.0 on PC and am finding that ES-2's filter settings are changing when i close and re-open the program... i've had this problem ever since 5.1 but have used mostly hardware synths but now am trying out software synths for synth duty and i was hoping that the bug would be fixed in 5.5.... but it appears to be not...
the actual settings on the screen are the same but each time i re-open a saved track all of my synth sounds are out (which is really annoying when you spend a lot of time getting the bassline on just the right frequency )...
please help... i have tried taking the keytrack off the filter in the matrix but this does not help... i use the default reset patch to build my patches, maybe theres something in the settings on this patch but i can't work it out...
other than this... can someone reccomend some other VSTi's that interface into logic really well (like will save patches when the song is saved) i use reaktor but find this more fiddly than it needs to be sometimes...

i posted this question a couple of weeks ago in the same forum, look in the pasts messages.
Basically it is a bug, try bouncing your tracks to audio when your filter setting is right. |

thanx ben.... but as suggested 5.3 or 5.5 doesn't fix the problem... (neither does saving the presets either)...
i guess i'll ditch using es-2 and start using reaktor (if im going to have to save my patches i'd may as well use reaktor)
or maybe just stick with hardware synths !! |

yup,... still no fix on that filter issue... dunno whats up with that.
and honestly, it really only seems to do it on those sounds (like basses) that u sit there and tweak for hours on end.....
only tips i can offer u nath is to try out Novation's 'V-Station' for your basses...... MASSIVE sound,......
tis one sweet little softsynth
