Why is it when i use the cross fade mouse tool in logic 8, the volume does not cut down much? is there a way to set the initial level of the volume in like a preference menu somewhere or something? do i have to use the utility gain automation every time i want it to cross fade starting at a lower volume than the mouse tool is currently letting me? someone please help =]
sorry if this thread is posted in the wrong section..

eh? it cuts down here all the way. Set the slopes and values at the end and start of the regions with the individual fades if the X-fade does not do what you want. It'll take one click or two more, but you are only seconds away from doing what you want. If its lots of regions you wanna X-fade, just shift click and do a multiple fade whilst dialing the values and slopes in, once.

well the funny thing is, if i do a fade with the xfade mouse tool, i can still hear the audio at the beginning of the fade, even if its not fading into anything and playing by its self, and if i do the exact same thing with logic's utility plugin, the fade is much more noticeable, so i am a little confused. |
