It's a function called "Bounce" on your Master Fader....

To Bounce a song:
Select the bars you want to include. Windows/Open Track Mixer, in the Out 1 (output) object, click on Bounce. Select output format and click Bounce again.

yep, thats the only way.....

if you get overload you're gonna have to bounce some of the stuff that is causing the overload and import to music as audio

then you bounce it all again....

you can try and for example bounce just half of the channels, import that to track as audio, and then bounce all track....

No idea whats happening really, but overload could have to do with soundcard/drivers. Earlier I had some trouble with network traffic during audio actions. Try to shut down all other processes when recording.

overload can have really many sources...

- unplug each unused external device ( peaks )
- always get newest driver ( sound-/graphiccard, mobo )
- tweak your os for audio ( disable everything which u don t need )
- try reduce voices (vsti ) where possible, use "cheap" reverb
- maybe increase latency
- try to cool your cpu more/overclock it

hope this helps, bom bom           experiment !
make it your motto day and night.
experiment,
and it will lead you to the light.
the apple on the top of the tree
is never too high to achieve,
so take an example from eve...
experiment !
