I started a new track using the channels randomly.. now when i try to hit ctrl shift enter (ask for new midi intrument), every motha fucka new channel i get has the same instr n° then the previous, and if i try changing the n°, then both get the change. The new channel getting this same number share the same strip in the mixer with the previous..How am i suppose to criate a new instr channel , so a new trip in the mixer it set to this new channel, LIKE IT IS ALWAYS SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN?
Jesus.. Wish there was a version of logic 8 for PC, cant wait anymore to get release of those fucking annoyng bugs from logic 5.5 and steimberg cubase.. both hv few limitations that makes my inspiration goes like crap.

Sounds like the new channel you make is a copy of the others...
Same instrument number !!!
Change the instrument number in the audio object to an unused one....

tried holding left click on the channel in the arrange and selecting another channel?
this always worked for me in logic 5...

If a key sequence doesn't work for you, always check the keycommands to see what's going on.
by default, ctrl+shift+enter should create a new track assigned to a new channel - not the same one.
Anyhow, you can quickly assign a track in the arrange to a desired channel in the audio enviroment simply by clicking right click on a channel strip.
