Hi guys
When I try to configure ASIO driver in Logic 5.5 (Windows edition) and then relaunch the application, Logic fails to start. I have M-Audio Audiophile 192 and never had any ASIO problems before with Cubase. Before asking u guys, I did a lot of research how to configure and what to turn off in Options, but never got it to work. I always have to press "ALT" key and start Logic again so it doesn't load any drivers, otherwise it just won't start. Please list if u have any solutions to this problem. Thanks a lot guys, I really need your expertise on this one!!!

PS: I need Logic to work so I can sample some sounds from ESM in case u wonder why I need it to work

Ok,after you've checked the box next to the asio driver in the logic preferences and made sure you've unselected any other driver type that is listed, it brings up a window that you can select ok or relaunch logic. Select the relaunch option and logic will not actually close, just reload the plugins with the correct asio driver. You normally should just be able to proceed from there. You don't really need to completely close Logic. It should just reload your driver and plugins and you should be good to go.

Now another thing might be that you need to move the mdddirectshow.dll out of the logic directory. That driver used to make logic not start for me as well till I moved that dll. give that a shot and lemme know if you still get stuck.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
