Logic 5.5.1 PC isnt loading anymore

I installed logic and no sound was coming out, ofcourse i had to configure the audio for that to happen...... so since i dont know what im doing, i checked off almost every box that said (this required to go in and out of logic to work) and then closed logic.
ever since it freezes before it loads fully... gets stuck on the splash screen. i have tried to uninstall and reinstall, custom uninstall and automatic uninstall... i have manually removed the directory and even tried installing to another dir. but it keeps going back to whatever faulty config. i gave it to make it freeze and not load.....
any suggestions?

I think the obvious here is direcx plugins it tries to load and fail. If you disable Audio, Logic loads ?
just run pluginenabler and disable all plugins there... or most of them - leave only those u really really need for directx.
in fact I suggest everyone to do this, even if their logic loads ok. directx is buggy as hell and doesn't work well as vst.

Also try removing the MDD Direct Show .dll
I had the same issue and after I did that, Logic loads for me.
An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines. |
