Marie you're right at the most issues but I don't think you should be so angry with the promoters and judge them as non-proffessionals... Let's face it, many local djs act in such an unproffessional way that someone from abroad wouldn't believe! Of course I don't talk about you and I wouldn't tell specific names in a public forum but come on... how would you "name" a dj who comes and tells "I'm not playing, the stage is empty, I'll come later.."??? Hilarious... Both sides do mistakes and I don't know what to blame.. Greece? No, the country is not the problem but just an excuse, our minds is the problem and our arrogance. And yes, I am one of the ppl that stopped attended parties cause of that. I can't stand any more arrogance, ppl (djs and promoters) parkarete kapou to kalami prin pesete(ki allo)...
Cheers and see you at a summer dancefloor

to party bitch.....yes i agree with you that there is also djs that dont behave professional and yes i have witnessed my self attitudes of "superstars" from them that i dont agree with...and please allow me to b angry about the subject and insist on it for one reason.....its not the money that consirns me nor it ever ....people know first hand how many djs and how many times they played for free without asking for anything because the party failed...and believe me i personally feel for the promoters that loose money in several parties and i played in such cases for free...my case stands to their attitude and continuus excusses .....even when a party does make it we still get the same attitude...(not by all in this particular case).....They treat us like they do us a favor while in reality its the other way around....When they dissrespect you,in such way CONTINIUSLY party after party ,well at some point you are fed up....and if they cant understand it with private talks face to face, maybe a public embarasment to their crowd might wake them up.... |

well nick there will always b new promoters man....and djs will always play for them...What promoters fail to understand though is that what goes up must come down....every dj and every promoter has a pick and a bottom....its what name you will leave behind when that happens is what matters to me....the name of someone that offered something to the hole?..... or their personal signature of just another ashole..... |

i believe these words are the pure meaning of the whole situation.of course when the party has 20 ppl you will compromise with less money(though there are promoters that even if the party has 15 pers0ns inside, the pay you the amount of money that was agreed.
THIS IS PROFESIONALISM!!!)
for the rest of the stuff, marios has covered me in everything i wanted to say,and respect to him for making this post(it was about time to happen)

5)and finally to free freequency:
Zoi dont come in here to explain to me the aspects and the expences of a party....we started free frequency together remember?...and for 1 1/2 year we kicked ass and managed to bring the prog scene together....i know exactly how much a party costs and all the detailed expences ....you speak about rising competition and more promoters doing parties all the time wich is correct , but if you think that this is the reason that your parties go from bad to worst....check again....all the prog scene of thessaloniki knows what resistance and anti parties and accussations we both faced in the early days of F.F and we managed at that time to pull most of the parties succesfully......so what you think changed since then?...nothing at all....you still have parties on the same days and you still stab each others backs with all the other promoters in any given situation...that hasnt changed a bit....where is the standart people of F.F zoi?...where is the spirit that once used to differentiate f.f parties from all the others?...they turned their back at you ....why?....beacuse they have other options?...no ....they dont go to other promoters parties as well...i wouldnt like to refer to names and situations that will open your eyes in this forum cause its not peoples bussines.Think it for your self....its always easy to blaim somebody else for mistakes that we have done rather than accepting responsibility for them and correcting them....Even if there is no other parties you will still see your crowd beeing redused in numbers ......You speak of the new djs that appearred playing for free most of the times and i agree that this is something that should trouble the lockal djs....i also agree that not everybody from the lockals have played abroad and some are better than others....So is that a good enough reason NOT to keep your part of the deal that you agreed with them?...think that when choosing your line up and when arranging the fees with each and every one of them....not when the party fails....And please keep in mind that nowdays the lockals bring with them at least 30% of the people in the party that come to listen to THEM and have fun as a group than to listen to the artist....thats what people missed in parties and thats where you lost the point of the hole thing......
[/quote]
>>>>First of all I was involed in parties in Greece before you even started to spin!!! As for the foundation of Free Frequency you know very well how it started...I remeber but my belief is somehow different than yours... anyway our personal differences is not the place to be mentioned...But even though you attack a project where you began to play and which project supported you in your first steps in this scene more than anyone else!!! Free Frequency is a project that always respected the artists and always payed them. If sometimes the amount was not what was agreed..it would be coz truly the party didn't go well and of course after a conversation with every artist. If any local Dj has never been payed from Free Frequency is free to speak!!!. I m the only promoter answer here and only I can see from you is attack!!! But I m still here and try to understand all points of view....
>>>>Let's get to the point that parties nowdays are not having so much crowd as they use to have!!! Hellllloooooo everything IS CHANGIN AROUND US....MUSIC, PEOPLE WHO GET BORED...PLACES NOT GOOD ENOUGH, BAD PROMOTERS......Since you know how a party is managed I think you are smart enough to understand that nothing is the same as 4 years ago!!!! And this is a fact and how things are going in our scene and everyone is responsible for that PROMOTERS+ARTISTS+PEOPLE+CLUBS.....
>>>>> The last one: I' ve never had a problem with local Djs as I said before... So you believe that a party will run succesfully without a foreign name?? NO ....You know that the crowed wants fresh music and a foreign Dj is most wanted than a local...is common logic...But the "name" that will bring most of the people to the party is a foreign...You know that and everyone knows that..even you, will go to a party to listen foreign artists...Let's focus to the point!!
LOCAL DJ MUST BE RESPECTED!! AS FAR AS REFERS TO FREE FREQUENCY THEY ARE!!!I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE OTHER PROMOTERS I TRY TO DO MY BEST!!!
IF YOU READ MY FIRST POST YOU WILL SEE: WE ARE IN THE SAME SIDE BUT YOU STILL DON'T F@@@ GET IT!!!!
>>>> As for the main point here is that everyone that works for a party should be paid...and the ONLY one that takes the biggest risk not to be paid is the promoter.
Anyway once more I would like to say that all these are refering to my personal opinion!! And I m stable to my first post here...
I wish all this to stop soon is pointless and without a virtual result!!!
