Location of a festival

Hi all,
This will resemble to yet another one of those what is most important for you in a party/festival.
I have a more specific question, however.
Is a festival location's proximity or the layout/beauty/set-up of the location more important for you?
In other words, would you rather drive an hour and a half to a nice location or 3-4 hours to a location that will take your breath away for the duration of the festival?

it all depends on the circumstances. But generally I would say that I prefer to go to festivals located closer to me. Maybe if I would have my own drivers license I would choose to drive a longer distance to attend mindblowing places but since I have to compromise with other people we most oftenly don't go far away (except in the summer when we have more free time).
To sum up my anser: I would "prefer" to "drive an hour and a half to a nice location"

I would without doubt "drive" (donīt have a license) for 5 hours to get to a breath taking festival instead of going to a nearby place thatīs just OK.
Like for an example, the FullMoon Festval, itīs the beauty and the setting that makes you wanna go there every year... not counting the artists... 
But if itīs just a party for a night, I would have to say that I rather go to a nearby place, because of the cost of getting there.

5 hours long...cause that is the reason for a festival and not a party...already driven for 6/7 hours 4 a festival..and it was worth doing that!
i always prefer the breath taking place!!!

Happy new year to u all !!!
First if u have to drive 5 hours or 7 to get urself intoa crazy psychedelic dance u should dfo it , the fact of the location for a festival is extremely important, even if it's far form towns , as organiser u just have to facilite the communication (air compagnies, trains,etc..) a magicaL PLACE WILL ALWAYS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE in a festival , then in my opinion just making easier the arrival for all those people is enough , because when u arrive to the place and say to urself well all this hadnt been done in vain !!!! that's great ,bom and good vibes

Definitely prefer the longer drive, i have had the pleasure of driving for 9 hrs for a festival here in portugal |

what i hated about transit in particular was that
a) i flew to portugal
b) i drove all day and night after boom to valencia
c) i took a train from valencia to benicassim
and what did i see? a freaking mexican yankyard in some ugly ghetto..
