Studio Devil is a great sounding plug for guitar, but for me unfortunately doesn't work for me for live playing at my gigs as it goes via the ASIO buffers and the added latencies are too high for accurate playing on my system.
For playing live guitar at gigs I use either:
1. Behringer Vamp 2 (imo sounds better than the Line6 POD2 which I also used to own)
2. Novation NIO souncard's internal guitar rack which independantly of the ASIO buffers so on my system runs at 6 ms latency and so, just scrapes by.
3. Digitech RP350 which has much more comprehensive fx section than the Vamp2 and had a great pedal for controlling midi parameters live. Bit on the heavy side for carting to gigs along with a slaptop and guitar, but sounds great...
Cheers,

Really depends on what you are mixing it with.
But no, it won't need any more or less processing than an other amp simulator.

Great. I've particularly enjoyed Tuning the tweakage 1 and also the 909 kick tutorial which made me dive back into zebra. Thank you Billy |
