should check ableton live 4 -.... sounds more of what ure looking for ( live i mean ) of course cubase will always be the best sequencer for composing ( at leasst in my opinion), but ableton is worth cheking out specially for arranging clips for live performance..

using the pich will change your speed and u can beat match it but will change your note....
Abelton Live is very nice to play live mix and you can change the bpm of a track with the pich and keeps your cpu stable, with cubase is harder to get stability..

well.. i use both programs now..
ableton to change the bpm of the track because it keeps the master note, and then import to a cubase project so i can work the live with no barriers

it's not realy pratical.. but it only takes a few minutes and does the trick           http://www.bhooteshwara-records.com

well i disagree here , if u change the tempo in any program , u will need always to change the transpose even if u only need to change smal values , beccause u will hear diference in the track after u change the "base" tempo , so in ableton u will need always to chek a bit the transpose to make a good change tempo . before playing it           "HIGH PULSE" AKA FUSION OF DARKPSY PROJECTS
